It’s Hunger Education Week! We have events this Tuesday (Cooking Matters), Thursday (Fill the Van) and Saturday (Crop Walk Activity Fair). We hope you come out to learn more about nutrition, food insecurity, and what YOU can do to tangibly help combat hunger!
Of course, we want to give a huge shoutout to our Food Bank Network which strives to make a dent in the food desert of the San Luis Valley….we are grateful for all our staff and volunteers at our 14 pantry sites for their impact on our community.
We sure love the Dunes! Go check out Milagros, whose coffee specials this month celebrate our National Parks!
We hope you all can come NEXT SATURDAY to our Crop Walk Activity Fair! Learn about hunger relief efforts, local and global, through TRUE stories and leave with some insightful takeaways from the day’s hands-on activities (such as assembling hygiene kits, a water bucket relay race, and our solidarity walk).
